Well it's time to make a start. New car so new thread


When I picked the car up I knew this first job would need doing. The paint was well um... Flat and uh flat, grimy chalky and uh did I mention it was flat lol

So local valeting friend of mine brought his rotary polisher round and after about 4hrs hurray nice shinny white paint again

Will get some end result pics at weekend once I've had chance to wax it

Yea it's a light polish which sorta removes any lines left from the first cut.

I've heard of body shops using this

I know bodyshops use G3 but it leaves holograms as it's compound. haven't heard of bodyshops using auto finesse though. I have a bottle of tripple, but I am assuming he used something like revitalise no.3 for finishing off though

Lol was thinking thats a bit upmarket for a bodyshop using auto finesse So 2nd pass was with a finishing pad and spritzed G3 that makes more sense

Super resin will hide any marks but if it's machined to remove all the swirls etc. I would go with straight wax.

Looking at buying vp citrus pre wash. Is G101 the same thing ?

It's different in that G101 will strip your wax or sealent although vp is TFR so wouldn't want to use it regular

So in effect, no different to using G101 then
Surly if you wax regular then not much of an issue ?

Citrus would be safer to use but tbh my detailer uses g101 in a snowfoam lance before detailing but it's always polished and waxed after.

Why do you want a pre wash though?
