Broke my only key HEEELLLP!!!

Right guys need some advice what to do! I have one key lost in my house as I'm moving so thats hopeless. my key in use i sat on it and snapped it luckily i have all the pieces as i think I've got the metal key, the casing, the buttons and the red thing which i thought held all the magic to start the car. Ive now been told there should be a little black magnetic type thing which actually holds the magic to start the car is this true?? also how bad is it price wise if I've lost that one bit??

You should have an immobiliser key you put into a sensor on the dash for when you lose the fob ect. Do you not have the keycode in your paperwork? Im sure mits will have this info but not sure if they charge. As for havig s key cut timpsons should be able to do it but they will need the whole key i imagine , try them anyway

cheers for the reply i have the actual key itself the components for the key like the part where the battery goes that little red box and the cobra immobiliser thats it

Pm'd you mate.... deffo doesnt have a magnet in there, not good for the battery
