Buying a car without a log book

    Guys,

    My Mrs just bought a car with a log book - Does anyone know how I can check the car is all ok and not nicked and how do I get a log book?? :disgusted:

    Get the car hpi checked mate, you can do that through AA or other companies.
    U probably have the little v5 slip, fill it out in the new owners name n send it off to dvla n they will send u the new log book

    apply for log book asap or when your tax comes around you wont be able to tax it

    Hi Barrie,

    You where right fella - I miss typed - She purchasered, didn't get the green slip or a V5!!

    Can you just get a form from the post office to send away. Call the DVLA??

    yes , may take upto 6 weeks tho but best to crack on and get it sent off or you cant tax vehicle
