The day after I picked it up:

About a month after buying I booked in for a trackday at Blyton Park, however on a noise test a couple of weeks prior to the trackday I discovered it was kicking out 110db so managed to get booked in at MG Autos for some noise reduction and got it down to 98db. The car performed very well on track apart from the tyres were useless in the wet during the morning but it sooned dried and all was going well until I warped the front discs!

I went for Godspeed grooved discs allround with kevlar pads, iv literally just finished bedding these in!
and underneath with the reworked exhaust system
    [IMG]

I went to Thoresby Classic Car show with a mate of the Celica Club and managed to win runner up in best 1990's catergory
    [IMG]

Last Sunday I also attended Parson Drove show, again with the Celica lot, I managed to sneak in the middle ;):D

That's about up to date now
There's a knocking on the back end which I need to sort, not quite sure what's causing it yet though.
A 45,000mile service is going to be done around October time along with the underside being freshly undersealed.

Next mods would probably be a strut brace and a spare set of wheels for track use. I might look at some carbon bits aswell but unsure on that yet.

Well went to Blyton for my father inlaws supercar experience. He drove a Ferrari F430, Maserati Gran Sport and Lambo Gallardo, sister inlaw also drove a Mclaren MP4-12C. I found a supercharged Atom tucked away and managed to get a passenger ride in it, f**k me there quick!!
I then found out that you could take your own car on for a few laps so thought it'd be rude not to!

Cheers mate, here's a bit more!

Got a set of Toyo T1R's fitted the other week to replace the Yokohama's,still need to scrub them in a bit more as a little bit slidey when 2bar of boost hits them

Car is off to MG Auto's tomorrow for 45,000mile service, underseal refresh and should have the banging on the back end sorted. Had a look whilst putting the new tyres on and pretty certain the moustache bar bushes have had it.

Also iv been on the look out for some spare wheels for track use and after missing out on a few sets I managed to bag a set off Micheal Ward off here.

A set of 5 standard Evo 5 rims, tyres are useless but probably going to go for some R888's or similar on these, just need to decide on a colour, was thinking Kawasaki green or Cadbury purple.

T1Rs will be scary at your power

Had them on mine and thought they were awful if I'm honest.

The track tyres will be tasty though, you'll feel the difference!

Defo do a Mental colour, wouldn't mind doing the same for mine.

I had T1R's on my old GT4 and was impressed with them in both dry and wet conditions and on track too, granted the Celica was about 90bhp less but we'll see how we get on with them!
Brother inlaw is going to do a few photoshops on the colours before I decide.

    'kin car!

Had the major service done cambelt etc, re-undersealed, rear suspension bushes changed for polys, rear diff mount bushes changed for polys and also a fast road alignment and setup done.

£1300 later and its decided to start knocking on the back again im hoping its the rear drop links, will be double checking next weekend and to top if off on the way back from picking it up one of the wheel bearings decideds to start humming :(

MOT due beginning of October along with insurance and a holiday aswell, can see this being a month of eating beans!

On the plus side I did get an insurance quote through for £500 so waiting on Greenlight to send their renewal through to see if theirs is cheaper

Car should be going in for MOT next Saturday all being well.

Renewed insurance but not with Greenlight, Pace Ward can do an identical policy with an extra 1000 mile limit for £200 less so gone with them this time.

Boring stuff out the way! Now onto a new mod!
I sent a replacement arm rest lid of to a chap on the Celica Club to be flocked as my old one had snapped the hinge and the replacement was abit grubby so thought "flock it" lol!

    Original lid:

After Ant had worked his magic on the other lid:

And all fitted (10/10 to Mitsubishi for the hinge design on these,a right git to get to the small screws on the lid support arm!)

I went for the caviar flock and the colour match to the seats is almost exact, very pleased with it.

Bit of an update as its been some time and some bits have arrived,
Recaro speed "confetti" drivers seat, the original seat is a bit tatty so that'll be going in the 306 at some point.
Going to try this new seat in first as not sure now its here that its going to suit the car but we will see.

    Red steel tuner nuts
    [IMG]

    Front and rear strut braces
    [IMG]

Also fitted a pair of LED sidelights as managed to bag a pack of 10 for £2 off ebay!

Also discovered today that the car has had launch control added on the ecu, so guess what iv been doing earlier lol!
